The Mail Art Project

The Mail Art Project was a collaboration with about 50 artists over the first half of the year 2014 that became part of a solo exhibition at the 17 Frost art gallery in Brooklyn, NYC. The purpose of the project was to playfully interact and connect with one another. I usually started a drawing and mailed it to an artist who in turn would interact/intervene with the piece. When that piece came back I would continue to work on it or mailed it to a third artist. I also created strips that were cut into smaller units or I split already made bigger prints in several postcards that could be put together as a puzzle.  List of artists: Laura Milkins, María Navarro, Betsy Gacía Montijo, Erika Johnston, Susan Goldman, Amelia Hankin Cashin, Nahid Navad, Kelli Sincock, Janis Sweeney, Margaret Meyer, Meaghan Bush, Steve Skowron, Natasha Kolosowsky, Christine Scheer, Tim Arbon, Sheila Cuellar, Chika Matsuda, Osbel Susman-Peña, Alex Itin, Andy Polk, Cerese Vaden, Edgar Endress, Jay Hendrick, Natalie Guerrieri, Ed Bisese, Chris Mcginnis, Chris Dacre, Nate Abel, Aaron Miller, Gwyneth Scally, Chris Huang, Jessie Huang, Rocío Pichón-Rivière, Patrick Sargent, Erwin Thamm, Gavin Hugh Troy, Teresa Parker, Catherine Nash, Robert Renfrow, Rob Wu, Teri Pursh, Tina Grechi, Mary Del Popolo, among others.
